Lorna Whiston Preschool Kallang Wave

As a parent, it’s natural to want to choose the best for our children. That is why choosing a preschool that sees their potential and enables them to grow is essential. Besides passionate and dedicated teachers and a comprehensive curriculum, a positive and stimulating learning environment is crucial when considering the right preschool for your child.

Overlooking the stunning views of the Kallang River, our preschool facilities in Kallang span over 7,800 square feet of space. Our teachers focus on exciting activities designed to make our children happy to come to school every day.

Stimulating Environment through a Perfect Marriage of Indoor and Outdoor Play Areas

Located within the Singapore Sports Hub at Kallang Wave Mall, Lorna Whiston Preschool has a stimulating environment that allows our children to enjoy different indoor and outdoor activities. In addition, our location allows us to extend our activities into the external facilities within Kallang Wave Mall, including the sports track, outdoor playground and outdoor water fountain.

Children also learn beyond the classrooms as they go on nature walks and have outdoor tricycle playtime every week. Besides making learning fun and enjoyable, these activities promote an active lifestyle for children, setting the foundation for good and healthy lifelong habits.

The children enjoy different indoor activities within the preschool, such as water play, sand play, and gym play. A dedicated dining area allows preschoolers to learn to eat independently in a safe manner. Different role play areas and a range of activity zones and learning corners allow for different types of learning to occur within the school simultaneously.

Safe and Nurturing environment to Explore Interests

Our comfortable facilities are designed to empower children to explore their interests in a multitude of areas.

Children are encouraged to display their work within the classrooms and in the art corner, giving them a sense of ownership of their classrooms and a sense of pride and joy as they step into school. Each classroom is personalised and encourages children to express their individualities.

Our facilities also enable us to hold cookery classes that instil an interest in healthy eating habits and allow preschoolers to practise fine motor skills.

There is a reading corner in every classroom, providing a sense of order and encouraging children to develop a lifelong love for reading.

Our Lorna Whiston enrichment teacher conducts speech and drama lessons, giving our young learners an opportunity to express their creativity, build their confidence and develop their linguistic abilities.

“In a matter of 4 months of joining LW Kallang, we have seen Kabir grow independent - picks up and eats his food more instead of being fed, expressive - no longer is he shy and looks forward to new interactions & happy - he looks forward to school and his happiness stays through the day.

Thank You Very Much to Miss Nicia & Miss Zou and team LW”
